HOME + HOUND hopes that you love your purchase, but understands that some things just don't work out as planned. A receipt, either emailed or printed, is required in order to complete a return or exchange within 14 days of purchase. Items that are unused, in their original, undamaged packaging and have merchandise tags still attached may be exchanged or returned for store credit only. Refunds are not made back to your original payment method.

Final sale or items discounted outside of a store promotion period cannot be returned. All holiday decor, stationery, live plants, pet toys, perishable, and vintage items are final sale.

HOLIDAY policy

Purchases made between Black Friday and Christmas Eve may be exchanged or returned for store credit through the last day of the following January. A regular receipt or gift receipt is required for all transactions. All items must be unused, in their original, undamaged packaging and have merchandise tags still attached. Discounted or final sale items cannot be returned. All holiday decor, stationery, live plants, dog toys, perishable, and vintage items are final sale. Click here to confirm our current hours.

HOME + HOUND currently offers free shipping for any $100+ order, $12 flat rate shipping for all other online orders within the US, or FREE local in-store pickup. Orders ship from San Diego, California via USPS or UPS within 1 to 3 business days. Transit time within the US can range from 1 to 10 business days. Shipment details, including tracking information, will be emailed to the contact address used at checkout once your order has shipped. Thank you for understanding that packages may be prepared with recycled materials. HOME + HOUND is not responsible for USPS or UPS shipping delays.

In-store RETURNS

Purchases made in-store/in person may be returned for store credit or exchanged within 14 days of the original purchase date, excluding days that the shop is closed. Click here to confirm HOME + HOUND’s current hours.

Please note, if a customer would like to return an in-store purchase via mail, return shipment costs are the responsibility of the buyer/customer. HOME + HOUND is not responsible for items damaged or lost in return shipment, therefore an insured and trackable mail service is recommended. Store credit cannot be issued without actual receipt of the item(s) or proof of received return delivery. Please allow up to five (5) business days for your return to be processed.

ONLINE RETURNS

Simply log in to your account at www.shophomeandhoundsd.com to request a return. Please include the order number and item name(s). $12 flat rate shipping charges are non-refundable. Return shipment costs are the responsibility of the buyer/customer. Returns must be delivered to HOME + HOUND within 14 days of the date you received the item(s. [Ex: If you received your order on the 1st of the month, it needs to be delivered back to HOME + HOUND by the 14th.]

Returned goods must be delivered in the condition they were received or they may not be eligible for a store credit refund. HOME + HOUND is not responsible for items damaged or lost in return shipment, therefore an insured and trackable mail service is recommended. Store credit cannot be issued without actual receipt of the item(s) or proof of received return delivery. Please allow up to five (5) business days for your return to be processed.

SALES TAX

A 7.75% sales tax must be charged for orders shipping within the state of California.

HOME + HOUND is a cashless retail shop. Accepted methods of payment include debit and credit cards. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover in addition to Apple, Google and Samsung Pay.

GENERAL PRODUCT Warranties

All products are covered by the warranty policies of their respective manufacturers or makers. Please contact HOME + HOUND via email if you have questions about a specific item. Sending messages through social media does not guarantee a response.

If you would like to make a warranty claim, please bring your item(s) with proof of purchase into the shop for review. HOME + HOUND reserves the right to refuse returned products that have been used, worn, or altered in any way unless the product is determined to be defective by the maker or manufacturer.

The lifespan of items sold at HOME + HOUND is determined by the care + wear each item has been subjected to. Material breakage, fading, fraying, split seams, pet damage, shrinkage or other signs of wear due to improper care is not considered a manufacturer’s defect.

All pet items are accessories only; HOME + HOUND + the makers of each brand that HOME + HOUND carries assume no liability. The use of the product + safety of the pet + handler is completely at the purchaser +/or user’s discretion + responsibility. When a product is purchased, the purchaser/user agrees to indimnify HOME + HOUND for any loss, damage or injury.

The lifespan of all pet accessory items sold at HOME + HOUND is determined by the care, wear, + elements each item is subjected to. Material breakage, fading, fraying + other signs of wear due to chewing, scratching, water, sand or excessive dirt exposure that may compromise the integrity of an item beyond normal wear is not considered a manufacturer’s defect.
